BIOGRAPHY

Our homie Snoop needs not introduction. He is not only one of the most prolific musical talents of the modern era, he’s one of the most recognizable celebrities in the world. He is more than a rapper, producer and actor — Snoop is a cultural force. He’s gone around the world representing where he’s from, he’s introduced us all to new ways of speaking and, the whole time, no matter where he was and what crowd he was rocking, he always brought the funk.

Super-producer Dr. Dre first made him a star when he introduced him on the seminal album The Chronic. Their collaboration was the beginning of an era which completely changed Hip-Hop music and re-established the West Coast as a breeding ground for some of rap’s most creative artists. Snoop’s own debut, Doggystyle (1993), containing certified classics such as “Gin and Juice” and “Doggy Dogg World,” sold over 800,000 copies in its first week, and has now sold over six million worldwide. Subsequent albums have sold in the millions and delivered such unforgettable singles as “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Beautiful,” and “Sensual Seduction.”

Snoop is never at rest and 2010 is already proving to be another definitive year for him. Today brings the release of his latest album More Malice – a follow up to Malice N Wonderland, released in December of last year. The album features five new songs including collaborations with Jay- Z, Soulja Boy and Kid Cudi, as well as two remixes and a never before seen mini-movie. Snoop is a force of nature, a true icon and a hero to many who’s lives he’s influenced. Join us in celebrating his originality.
